Dr. Nichelle M. Bush, DNP, APRN-FPA, FNP-C, ENP-C, CEN Is a Board-Certified Family and Emergency Nurse Practitioner with over 34 years of healthcare experience, who currently practices as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner across 10 different Illinois and NW Indiana healthcare organizations. As a healthcare provider, she has been intricately involved in the entire
continuum of care, treating patients of all ages and backgrounds in need of public health, emergent and critical care.

 

Nichelle has had unique experiences, practicing and treating patients before and through a global pandemic, has an extraordinary perspective on what she has experienced & learned, as well as therapies for promoting healthcare to marginalized
populations, with forward promotion of their health as we continue to emerge from a global pandemic. She continues to battle on the front lines of care, and is intricately involved in clinical care of patients in critical care, emergency and public health settings. Nichelle currently holds licensure in five (5) states, and is a Part-Time Faculty member lending her Critical Care
expertise to the MENP Graduate Nursing and Doctoral Programs at DePaul University Chicago. Nichelle is passionate in seeking transformation of the Advanced Practice and overall nursing profession, is committed to the training and progression of nurses in the profession, and uplifting and assisting underserved populations.

 

Dr. Bush has continued research focus
on the many issues marginalized communities, ethnic minorities and underserved communities face, impacting their health and overall status. She has participated in various published research opportunities in cancer therapies, monoclonal antibodies, moderate health disparities among AA
pregnant/non-pregnant populations before and during a global pandemic, and her published Doctoral work can be found in three (3) different Public Health, Women’s Health and Research journals. Dr. Bush continues to give back her time, talent and treasures to our communities, serving in her 28th year in the beloved Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., as a charter and life member of the esteemed organization.
