- capacity for Patient advocates offering warmline support and resources to perinatal people and patients processing birth experiences while navigating the medical system
- Holistic Home Care Kits to our community & workshops detailing their use
- transportation support to participants in our arts based program Elemental
- exponential growth and support to our community of BIPOC patients, Black birthing people, and health interns & professionals
Advocacy & Systems change support
- increased capacity for engaging change makers to influence the structure of healthcare towards a collective collaborative and away from a hierarchy
- capacity to influence design of legislation around maternal health and access to integrative care as we push for traditional & cultural frameworks and fair, manageable Medicaid reimbursement pathways for birthworkers, licensure for naturopathic doctors, and the swift dissemination of these processes
- increased capacity as we skill-share and build a base of student interns, volunteers, researchers & evaluators of color involved in the planning & execution of NDoula’s initiatives, introducing concepts like abolitionism in healthcare, which they may not otherwise encounter
